The Road... Trip!

Feb. 11, 2012 - We went to 17th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark Freeport, Pampanga and strolled all around Subic. Loooonggg and tiring day it is! And because we had a long day, this should be a long entry!

Photo roll after the jump! (will make kwento on photo captions)

Traffic at 5:30 in the morning! Everybody want to experience the Hot Air Balloon opening

Tickets - we went day 3, Feb.11
Some of the balloons that flown already

Paragliding exhibitions

The Gang! L-R: Me, Khen, Alyssa, Iska and Bright

We brought food and water and Banig. We did a picnic style but with Spaghetti. HAHAHA
We stayed from 5:30-9:00am at the venue and decided to go to Subic since it's freaking hot in there.
On the way to Subic, we passed by these amazing landscape! "lakas maka-ibang bansa ng arrive"

Looonnggg drive it is! Thanks Khen for 13hours of driving! We love you! :*

At Porac - These were dried 'lahar' from Mt. Pinatubo

So near yet so far! We traveled 58KM from Clark to Subic

This is the most perfect shot ever! The green rice fields with that mountain looks like it is from a post card!

Philippines version of 'Santorini' in Greece

We just passed by here - it looked cute and a photo capture moment! CHOS

Stopover
While on our way to Subic, we made a checklist on what to check out around Subic. And we finished it all! We were so happy that we made it but a little disappointed coz we didn't have the chance to fully experience it because it is out of the budget! And btw, this Subic trip is RANDOM. We decided on the spot! That's how random we are! :p

The Checklist:
- Look for Bats
- Look for Monkeys
- Check out Tree Top
- Check out Ocean Adventure
- To go to the public beaches (dip our feet into the water)
- Duty Free

Bats - CHECK! I swear to God, there's bat in that tree! It's just not obvious

Tree Top Adventure - CHECK! We didn't try this one coz it's pricey and scary! I have fear of heights! HAHAHA

Ocean Adventure - CHECK! We were just outside, beach sight-seeing lol and btw, I took this photo of Alyssa, perfect shot for a windy day

The Fearless

And because we're just outside, we had a chance to feed the fish! They looked amazing,
different colors and sizes! Cool.

Monkeys - CHECK! - we even gave them food but we're scared that they would attack us! HAHAHA

Dip our feet into the water- CHECK! We just passed by here on the way to Duty Free!
 Yes, we're desperate like that!
Duty Free - CHECK! After window shopping at Duty Free, we stayed a little for some refreshments here at 7/11
We stayed in Subic from 10:30am-3:00pm. Heading back to Clark now to see the Night Glow of Hot Air Balloons

We arrived a little early in time for Kite Flying

Lhanz bought herself a cute kite. Here she is!

Night glow Hot Air Balloon - because of the strong wind that night, flying of Hot air balloons were cancelled. We were disappointed coz we got the perfect spot for photos!
Sorry for boring you for this long post! I just had to share my fun experience to you guys! And just in case you would go there next year, I'll give you some tips: bring banig (mat), tent, umbrellas, caps (anything that can cover you up from the sun), lots of water and other refreshments and food (for picnic purposes) and oh, don't forget your SLR cameras! It's nice for photo ops, too! HAHAHA
