Heartstrings - I learned this korean drama because Angge is keep on tweeting about it! HAHAHAHA. I got curious and decided to see it myself. At first I thought it was boring but I got so 'kilig' as the episode goes by. Hahahaha! Watch and you'll know what I mean! :p
Synopsis: Lee Shin is a university student majoring in modern music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks and strong passion for music, but in reality he is cold, lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won. Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.
Scent of A Woman (Helena's Promise) - And because I started on watching Korean dramas, I can't help but to watch more of it. Next on my list is Scent of a woman or Helena's Promise in the Philippines. I asked my sister what korean drama is worth watching (since she's a KPOP fanatic hahahaha) and she said this is good. And of course, I liked it. I love Lee Dong Wook topless scenes! That's the main reason I continue watching this. Heehee! And It made me cry buckets. This is a tear-jerker one!
Synopsis: As a single, unmarried woman in her mid-thirties, Lee Yeon Jae (Kim Sun Ah) is meek and timid, considered a spinster by society. After spending ten years working for the same travel company owned by Kang Chul Man, she is falsely accused of stealing from a client. In addition to enduring the accusations of her superiors, she is diagnosed with gallbladder cancer with approximately six months left to live. Mustering up her courage, Yeon Jae resigns and embraces her remaining six months of life.
Embarking on her first vacation alone, she splurges on clothes and flies first-class to Okinawa, Japan, where she runs into her dream man, Kang Ji Wook (Lee Dong Wook), the son of her former boss. Ji Wook is a young rich man, cynical and lifeless, until he falls in love with Yeon Jae. Together they live out a series of misadventures, both comical and bittersweet, as Yeon Jae completes each dream in her Bucket List. In the end, she is still alive after seven months but she has no idea when her life will come to an end. So she decided to live her every moment of her life to the fullest with Ji Wook by her side.
City Hunter - It is currently airing here in the Philippines but decided to watch it online. Complete package: drama, action, romance and kinda comedy. I love Lee Min Ho! Ugh. Arte! AHAHAHA! Trivia: The two main characters are lovers in real life. </3 hehehehe
Synopsis: City Hunter’ is an original script based on the world-famous novel by Japan’s Tsukasa Hojo. Since it became public that Korea would be the first remake of this story into a drama, ‘City Hunter’ has been receiving worldwide attention. ‘City Hunter’ has switched the setting from Tokyo 1980 to Seoul 2011, and according to the original story structure, the protagonist becomes a city hunter and his character develops while resolving gratifying cases.
Personal Taste - Because I have a huge crush to Lee Min Ho, I searched the web his other Korean drama and found this. I instantly bookmarked it and started watching the same night. And btw, it is the first koreanovela that has real kissing scene. I even dreamed about it! Lol hahahaha
Synopsis: Jeon Jinho, a budding architect, is a straight guy who pretends to be gay in order to become roommate to Park Gae In, the owner of a mysterious house that has never been opened to outsiders. His hobbies include organization and ironing, and he’s known for his stoic poker face. He’s a stickler for cleanliness, but he also has a talent for figuring out women’s feelings. Gae In is very trusting, which people take advantage of constantly. However, that doesn’t stop her from giving people the benefit of doubt and Jin Ho is no different. How will Gae In react when she finds out that her gay roommate is not actually gay at all and that he has fallen for her?
Every Korean drama has different stories unlike TV dramas here in the Philippines. Maybe that's the reason why I keep watching it. Although some of them are not a really good actor/actress. Haha! And as I'm typing this entry, I am currently buffering another korean drama. See? I really am hooked by koreans! I need to go to Korea ASAP. Lol :p
